Carla Pierre-Paul, municipal councilor since 2021, was appointed deputy mayor of Saint-Jérôme, for the period from March 20 to July 2, 2024.

Of Haitian origin, she first lived in Montreal before settling in Saint-Jérôme for five years,

A former high school teacher and professional in health management, she also enriched her political career in the National Assembly, which allowed her to strengthen her commitment to the community of Saint-Jérôme.

His volunteer career, including positions at the Institut du Nouveau Monde and Oxfam Québec, bears witness to his dedication over more than twenty years to various causes.

Thanks to her involvement in the Age-Friendly Municipalities (MADA) project, she continues to actively participate in initiatives for seniors in her riding, emphasizing the importance of citizen participation from a young age.

In her new role as deputy mayor, Carla Pierre-Paul is determined to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Saint-Jérôme and to enhance their contribution to society. She is dedicated to raising awareness in the community about the importance of making your voice heard, drawing inspiration from her own journey to encourage future generations to get involved in municipal politics.
