Rameau Normil, the new director of the Haitian National Police (PNH), affirmed his determination to fight insecurity during his first press briefing since his reinstallation on July 8, 2024. Speaking alongside Kenyan General Godfrey Otunge, head of the Multinational Mission for Security Support (MMAS), Normil detailed plans to dismantle gangs and restore order in the country.
