Régine Abraham, new representative of the Rally for a National Accord (REN) on the Presidential Transitional Council
The Rally for a National Accord (REN) designated, in a note published Tuesday March 26, the agronomist Régine Abraham as representative in the Presidential Transitional Council after the resignation of René Jean-Jumeau, Monday, due to his alleged involvement in the squandering of PetroCaribe funds.
This designation should complete the list of nine members to be part of the Presidential Transitional Council and make Régine Abraham the only woman on the said Council after the resignation of Dominique Dupuy claiming that she was under attack.
The new representative of the REN in the Presidential Transitional Council, Régine Abraham, holds a degree in agronomy from the Universidad Agraria de Havana de Cuba. She also holds a degree in Management from the Lumière University of Haiti and a master’s degree in Rural Development from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). She has worked, among others, for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the European Union and had a career at the Ministry of the Environment.
