The sixth edition of Sumfest took place on Sunday, July 7, 2024, once again confirming its success as a flagship cultural event for the Haitian diaspora. This year again, Sumfest took place in Miami, on the historic beach of Virginia Key.
The 2024 edition was marked by a rich musical program, with performances by groups and artists such as Kreyòl La, Kaï, Vayb, Nu Look, Tony Mix, Tafa Mi Soleil, Fatima, Valmix, Harmonik, Kanis and Roody Roodboy as well as foreign artists such as Shenseea and KES etc. These talents were able to electrify the stage, captivating the audience from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The event was also hosted by three renowned masters of ceremonies: host Carel Pedre, Marc Anderson Bregard and Kako Bourjolly. Their presence added an extra touch of dynamism and conviviality to this memorable day.
Despite the challenges posed by the security situation in Haiti, Sumfest 2024 has once again proven the organizers’ ability to deliver a quality event. Due to the instability in Haiti, the festival has been relocated to the United States for the last two editions, with the last one in Haiti being in 2022.
