Some political structures continue to speak out on the corruption scandal that has been erupting for about 2 weeks within the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) tarnishing three (3) President-Advisors. This is the case of the political party called “Force for a Federated Haiti” which demands from the President of the Board of Directors of the BNC, Raoul Pierre-Louis, concrete and irrefutable evidence to support his allegations before anything else.
THE HAITI FACTOR, August 3, 2024._ The President-Advisors Louis Gérald Gilles, Emmanuel Vertilaire and Smith Augustin are accused by the President of the Board of Directors of the BNC, Raoul Pierre-Louis of demanding 100 million gourdes from him to keep him in his post.
In response, the political party called “Force for a Federated Haiti” said it took note of and expressed its deep concern over the recent allegations of abuses within the Presidential Council, made by the President of the BNC Council.
Thus, Force for a Federated Haiti (FORCE-HAITI), in a note signed by its Secretary, Maur SM Swinnings Mikelson Maurice, said it believes that it is crucial that concrete evidence be provided to support these assertions.
According to Mr. Mickelson Mauricr, “if these accusations prove to be founded, it will not be enough to sanction the individuals involved. He pleaded for the sidelining of all members of the Presidential Transitional Council to guarantee the integrity of the institutions. Conversely, he continued, if they are not founded,” he persisted and signed that it is imperative that justice does what is right to re-establish the truth and restore public confidence.
“Such allegations, whether true or false, jeopardize the Council’s ability to make informed and fair decisions for the good of the nation,” he continued.
Therefore, the political party “Force for a Federated Haiti (FORCE-HAITI)” calls on all parties concerned to demonstrate transparency and to cooperate fully with the competent authorities to ensure fair and equitable treatment of this matter.
Finally, the structure says it renews its commitment to continue defending integrity and transparency in the governance of the country.
