The Transitional Presidential Council is in turmoil after the prime minister left the country for a visit to the United States without prior coordination. A member of the council revealed to Le Nouvelliste newspaper that the information was only communicated a few hours before departure via a WhatsApp message, a move deemed inappropriate by the governing body.
The Council stresses the importance of defining the language elements with the Presidency before meeting international partners, a practice normally followed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs as well.
This situation has caused unease within the Presidential Council, whose members say they are disoriented by this hasty departure. The lack of communication and joint preparation with the Presidency is seen as a breach of established protocols, exacerbating tensions at the top of the State.
