The announcement was made this Tuesday March 8, 2024 by American media. U.S. District Judge Drew B. Tipton in Victoria, Texas, ruled in favor of the Humanitarian Parole program that allows up to 30,000 Haitians, Cubans, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans to enter in the United States each month.

“The arguments put forward by the contesting states to demand the elimination of the program are unjustified,” rules Tipton Texas federal judge Drew B. Tipton, who had already refused to refer the case relating to the challenge by 20 directed states to another court by Republicans of the new immigration policy of the Biden administration, in particular the “Humanitarian Parole” program.

According to USCIS, Haiti tops the Biden Program. Since its launch in January 2023, 138,000 Haitians, 86,000 Venezuelans, 74,000 Cubans and 58,000 Nicaraguans have been approved and allowed to enter the United States.

Note that the Humanitarian Parole initiated by the Biden administration seeks to encourage migrants to use preferred routes to enter the United States.
