Prime Minister Garry Conille upon receipt of the amplification of the decree appointing him as Prime Minister.

The Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) proceeded this Monday, June 3, to submit the amplification of the decree appointing him as Prime Minister to lead the transitional government to Doctor Garry Conille.

This ceremony was held at the Welcome Villa, in the presence of members of the CPT, after a series of interviews with Doctor Garry Conille. These discussions helped define a road map aimed at resolving the persistent crisis in the country.

“The PM, Dr. Garry Conille, received from the president of the Presidential Transitional Council, Mr. Edgard Leblanc Fils, during a ceremony this Monday at the Villa d’accueil, the amplification of the decree appointing him head of the GVT of transition”, we read on the Prime Minister’s social networks.

During this brief ceremony, Doctor Garry Conille spoke to assure the population that his government will work closely with the Presidential Transitional Council to meet the current challenges.

Remember that after his choice by the Presidential Council as the country’s new Prime Minister, Garry Conille promised that he would work with everyone to offer a better tomorrow to Haitians.

This Sunday, less than 24 hours after his arrival, Conille began a tour of visits which took him to the Hospital of the State University of Haiti and the Lycée du Cencinquantenaire. Traveling in an armored vehicle, he also traveled through certain streets in the area, which has been plagued for several months by increasing insecurity due to the activities of armed groups.

Garry Conille, born February 26, 1966 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, is a physician and former Prime Minister of Haiti under Michel Martelly from September 2011 to May 2012. After his term, he was named regional director of the UNICEF for Latin America and the Caribbean in 2023, overseeing activities in 36 countries and territories in the region.
