The political party Engagés pour le Développement (EDE) announces a new day of anti-government mobilization for this Tuesday, February 13.
At a press conference this Monday, February 12, 2024, Doctor Claude Joseph, Strategic Coordinator of the Engagés pour le Développement party, announces the continuation of the anti-government mobilization. In his statements, the former Prime Minister launches a call for mobilization this Tuesday, February 13, 2024. The march will begin at Delmas 33 and end in front of the Prime Minister’s premises in Musseau.
“We must rid the Prime Minister of Ariel Henry, now ex-Prime Minister for the simple reason that his mandate ended on February 7, 2024 in accordance with the agreement of December 21, 2022 in its article 20” declared Claude Joseph who takes the opportunity to call on the Haitian population not to give up in the face of government abuses against demonstrators, including press workers.
“Ariel Henry cannot assassinate all members of the population” persists the doctor Claude Joseph who also condemned the arrest of Marcelin Mirtil, better known by the nickname “Arab la” this Monday, February 12 in the town of Les Cayes. His arrest followed an arrest warrant issued against him by the government commissioner of Port-au-Prince, Me Jean Edler Guillaume, for inciting violence.
