The political party Engagés pour le Développement (EDE) invites the Haitian people to intensify anti-government mobilization.
Haitian political structures continue to express their position against the government in place led by Doctor Ariel Henry. Through a press note bearing the signature of Sterline Civil, the party Engagés pour le Développement (EDE) says it notes that Wednesday February 7, 2024, marks the end of the transitional power led by Ariel Henry and that of the reign of instrumentalization of justice, political intimidation and gangsterization.
Still according to the note dated February 7, 2024, the EDE party invites the Haitian people as well as the political class to officially take note of the completion of this interim period and to intensify anti-government mobilization. He also invites the international community to take note of the arrival of the legal-political deadline of February 7, 2024 and to refrain from any interference in the firm desire of the Haitian people to sovereignly decide their future.
“EDE maintains that Ariel Henry cannot benefit, beyond February 7, 2024, from the delays which the apprentice dictator specialized in during the 30 months he spent de facto in power. Illustriously incompetent, this disconnected usurper, whose record constitutes a nightmare for present and future generations, has never been able to create the political and security conditions necessary for the organization of elections neither in 2022 nor in 2023” we read in the party note which congratulated and thanked the Haitian people for having responded massively to the call for peaceful mobilization launched across the 10 departments of the country.
Furthermore, the Engagés pour le Développement party denounces the cynical desire of the failing power to carry out real carnage in Haiti by bloodily repressing the mobilization of the Haitian people against the occupant of the Prime Minister’s office, Doctor Ariel. Henry. However, LANGUAGE asks the Haitian National Police not to allow themselves to be exploited by a power whose collapse is no longer in doubt while inviting them not to put themselves on the wrong side of history.
