Closed since the reactivation of armed gangs attacking public and private institutions for more than two months, the French embassy in Port-au-Prince announced its reopening to the public. It (the reopening) will be effective on Monday May 6, 2024.
Playing the card of caution, the French diplomatic representation in Haiti clarified that the normal resumption of all its services will take place “subject to satisfactory security conditions”.
It should be remembered that faced with the growing insecurity plaguing the country, the embassies of France and the United States, among others, had to close their doors or recall their staff.
