The Haitian government and the national airport authority (AAN) are working hard to promote the resumption of flights at Toussaint Louverture international airport.

During the first council of ministers of the presidential council, the file was debated. The national airport authority is in discussions with the airlines to define the actions to be taken with a view to resuming flights.

In recent weeks the AAN has adopted measures to strengthen security in the immediate perimeter of the airport infrastructure.

Provisions have also been adopted to strengthen security inside the airport, specifies the AAN without providing details on the new measures. These are strict security measures with clear protocols that have been put in place.

The armed forces of Haiti and specialized police units repelled the bandits who had launched an offensive against the airport from the neighboring neighborhoods. According to the AAN, significant resources have been mobilized to achieve these objectives.

More than a hundred houses, having been used as firing points by bandits, were demolished.

The Haitian authorities want flight operations to resume as soon as possible at Toussaint Louverture airport and the Guy Malary terminal.
