The Haitian football selection is now almost complete in Mayagüez (Puerto Rico) where it is preparing to play two crucial matches in the Concacaf Nations League. The team, led by the technical staff, set foot on Puerto Rican soil this Monday, November 11, before going to Mayagüez to begin their preparation.

Upon their arrival, the 19 players present settled in for a first training session scheduled for this afternoon. The delegation was reinforced this Tuesday by the presence of Danley Jean Jacques, bringing the squad to 20 players. Among them, we find key figures in Haitian football such as Johny Placide, Frantzdy Pierrot, Duckens Nazon, as well as rising talents like Dany Jean and Joseph Belmar. The Grenadiers will be keen to achieve good performances to hope to qualify for the next phase of the tournament.

The two matches that await them will be decisive. Indeed, Haiti will first face Sint Maarten this Friday, November 15, before challenging the host country, Puerto Rico, on Monday, November 18. These clashes promise to be key stages for Haiti’s qualification in the Concacaf League A group.

The group has already enjoyed a short night in San Juan before heading to Mayagüez. They prepare intensively under the orders of the technical staff who rely on the cohesion and intensity of the sessions to take advantage of all the forces present.

With the pressure of a high-level tournament and the ambition to restore the image of the Grenadiers on the international scene, these meetings could well mark an important turning point in the competition for Haiti. Haitian supporters hope, more than ever, to see their team show character and quality against these opponents.
