The premises of the Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Litigation, located on rue de la Réunion, near the National Palace in Port-au-Prince, were victims of an intrusion by armed gangs this Friday, May 17, 2024, learned Loop Haiti.
According to the first elements of information available, this intrusion took place shortly after eight a.m. this Friday.
It should be noted that an attempted attack had already been reported on Thursday, May 16, where a first group of criminals attempted to enter the premises of the Court of Auditors.
On the other hand, according to certain information, PNH agents managed to repel the criminals who attacked the premises of the Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Disputes. However, several of the institution’s equipment were stolen.
However, it is important to emphasize that for more than two months, downtown Port-au-Prince has been the scene of recurring attacks against homes and businesses. These attacks, carried out by heavily armed individuals, result in looting and sometimes even fires.
