The Presidential Transitional Council visited the premises of the CEP and announces the activation of the electoral machine with a view to the transfer of power

This Friday, May 31, 2024, the Transitional Presidential Council, through Councilor Frinel Joseph visited the premises of the Provisional Electoral Council. This visit is part of the CPT’s mission which is to organize general elections in the country at the end of 2025.

According to a note from the Presidency, this visit also allows the Presidential Council to get an idea of ​​what should be done to launch the electoral process.

During this visit, Advisor Frinel Joseph was able to speak with the executive director and other executives of the institution. He promises that the presidential council will work to activate the electoral machine in order to respect the date of February 7, 2026 for the transfer of power to a team resulting from the elections with regard to the Agreement of April 3, 2024.
