The Professional Association of Magistrates welcomes the appointment of 10 magistrates by the Executive
Through a note dated January 29, 2024 bearing the signature of Marthel Jean Claude, theProfessional Association of Magistrates (APM) welcomes the appointment by the Executive of ten (10) magistrates of the peace courts promoted to judges in the various courts of first instance in the country.
According to this association of magistrates, these appointments will bring new blood into the judicial system at a time when the courts are operating with a reduced number of judges.
However, the Professional Association of Magistrates would like to encourage the Superior Council of the Judicial Power (CSPJ) to work with the Executive with a view to achieving the renewal as quickly as possible of the judges’ mandate which has expired.
