The path of the total solar eclipse will cross the United States, starting in Texas and passing through the northeast of the country, from 12:23 p.m. to 4:40 p.m. NASA reminds the public not to view the eclipse without using safe solar viewing glasses (“eclipse glasses”) or a safe portable solar viewer.

Edison Township residents, like many others in New Jersey, can expect to see the solar eclipse Monday between 2:10 p.m. and 4:35 p.m., according to NASA. This will be the first solar eclipse visible in the United States since August 2017. To view NASA’s interactive map, click here.

In Edison Township, eclipse will begin at 2:10 p.m., totality at 2:51 p.m., peak eclipse at 3:24 p.m., totality will begin to fade at 3:58 p.m., and end at 4:35 p.m. According to NASA, at the time of the maximum eclipse, the moon will block 89.6% of the sun.
