Three UTAG agents killed in an ambush in Sans Fil, Delmas 18
Three agents from the Anti-Gang Unit (UTAG), Fermetus Emelin (30 years old), Piton Wilkens Jean junior (31 years old) and Clovis Peterson (32 years old), were killed this Sunday, June 9, 2024, in an ambush in Sans Fil, Delmas 18. The attackers set fire to the armored vehicle in which the specialized officers were located.
“Three UTAG police officers lost their lives and an armored vehicle was set on fire. Fermetus Emelin of the 30th promotion and Clovis Peterson of the 32nd promotion were killed, while police officer Piton Wilkens Jean Junior of the 31st promotion is missing. This tragedy occurred on Sunday June 9, 2024 in the San Fil area in Delmas 18. Note that another police officer was injured during this attack”wrote the National Police Union (SYNAPOHA) on his X account.
This drama highlights the danger faced by law enforcement officers in certain areas of the Haitian capital.
