United States | Mara Vilm named Ambassador for Peace: A commitment to education and mental health

At the end of a ceremony held last Saturday, May 11, 2024 in Manhattan, New York, the Haitian of American origin Mara Vilmé was named Ambassador for Peace by the organization “International Women Rights Commission”. The person concerned claims to have made education and mental health her priorities to move the lines.

« Today, I had the unique honor of being named a Global Peace Ambassador as a recognition and recognition of my commitment to creating a sustainable future and promoting world peace”, reacted Mara Vilmé on her official accounts. It evokes a constant fight waged in specific areas including education, the environment, mental health to shape a promising future for future generations.

“Words still fail me and I just want to say thank you to everyone who has helped me and worked with me on the remarkable journey that has allowed me to reach this magnificent achievement. I promise to use this achievement as fuel and motivation to work even harder to promote peace for all humanity throughout the world.”she continued, while emphasizing that she had already been rewarded by the “Women Rights Services” organization.

The new ambassador Mara Vilmé claims to have obtained a doctorate in the field of human rights in December 2023. This recognition results from various struggles won in Haitian communities established in the United States of America. She emphasizes having worked to bring together Haitian families undermined by division.

“I further promise to use this honor as special inspiration for my advocacy to restore peace to Haiti and bring prosperity to my beautiful country. I am extremely grateful and thank once again everyone who continues to support me in this meaningful adventure” she concluded.
