Democratic governors are rallying behind Joe Biden, affirming their unwavering support as the US president fights for re-election. Wes Moore (Maryland) and Tim Walz (Minnesota), after meeting with Biden, said the 81-year-old Democrat is “fit” for office, while New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said Biden is “in the running to win.”
Meanwhile, a New York Times poll released Wednesday shows Donald Trump widening the gap with Biden in the race for the White House, with 49% to 43% voting intentions.
The survey also found that 74% of voters expressed concerns about Biden’s age, a statistic that could influence the dynamics of the election campaign.
