The armed bandits of “Ti-Bwadòm” operating Bassin-Bleu in the North-West department, are granting themselves more territories to perpetuate their crimes and defy the public force. On Friday evening, at least 11 citizens were murdered between Newfoundland and the 3rd Lagon section, deplores the interim executive agent, Joanel Raymond.

An unnamed tragedy strikes the commune of Terre-Neuve and the 3rd municipal section of Lagon. On the evening of Friday June 14, heavily armed men from the “Ti-Bwadòm” gang invaded the civilian population and caused terror. According to the interim executive agent of the Town Hall, Joanel Raymond, the bandits kidnapped a director of a well-known school in Newfoundland before murdering 6 other citizens.

In Lagon, resistance from the civilian population to thwart the bandits ended in tragedy. Five other citizens who tried to thwart the bandits’ plan were also killed. The president of the Municipal Commission speaks of a parade of men armed to the teeth aboard motorcycles who paraded from the commune of Terre-Neuve to the 3rd Lagon section. At the same time, the kidnapped educator was executed on the way by his captors and several houses were set on fire in Grand-Plaine.

In the middle of the day on Saturday, agents from the Departmental Law Enforcement Unit (UDMO) assigned to Gonaïves attempted to regain control of the situation. Councilor Joanel Raymond recalls that the Newfoundland Police Station only has 2 agents who work in rotation.
