Grand-Anse, the West, the Center, Artibonite, Nippes, the South and the Southeast could receive thunderstorms this Friday due to a thalweg and a diurnal cycle which influence the weather in the Greater Antilles region today.
These rainy activities are expected in the late afternoon and evening, specifies the Hydrometeorological Unit of Haiti (UHM) in its latest weather report, published this morning.
Apart from “light to moderate thunderstorms” particularly in the mountains, the UHM is predicting gusts at times throughout the day in several regions of Haiti, including the capital, Port-au-Prince, where the maximum temperature could reach 36 degrees Celsius.
With a high temperature, the Port-au-Princiens will have a “strong sensation of heat” warns the UHM, encouraging citizens to stay hydrated to protect themselves.
The minimum temperature is 27 degrees Celsius.
