LThe imperialist countries, led by the United States, have neither seen nor heard. The Presidential Council that they have put in the saddle must give them by all means a Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) to organize general elections in the country as quickly as possible, that is, in October 2025.
What makes them able to think that an election would be possible is that the situation of the Haitian people and the country in general does not concern them. What is a priority for them is to achieve their objective by pursuing to the end their project which is to make the country unworkable.
What is happening right now does not bother them, on the contrary, destabilization suits their business. It is not without reason that they would want to organize elections in a disorganized country, without a backbone, without a head, without a compass, without any valid leader other than their pawns.
So what elections could be held in a devastated country? When all the cadres, young and old, have been forced to abandon the national territory, where there is a continual drain of brains and profitable skills.
Our citizens have been scattered here and there across the world like wandering Jews. The humanitarian parole program called the Biden visa may seem like a godsend to some; but not to the country, because it is a disastrous coup de grace further destroying our status as a country that has invested its entire life in its children. It is a country that is being ruined. Everything that the exploiting powers are doing is not really to save it but to sink it further into its misery.
This election project is already giving us a hard time getting the machine going. This is because the country’s mentality is not yet ready to absorb such an event. Imperialism wants to lead us into the same abyss of 2010, when after the earthquake of January 12, 2010, four months later we had an electoral vote. This government has been a complete failure and it continues to this day.
The truth is that any electoral enterprise without any social and economic reconstruction of Haitian society will lead us nowhere except to another fiasco much more serious than the one we are currently experiencing.
As we can already see the signs, since even to appoint the members of the Provisional Electoral Council, it is an indefinite disorder. An internal struggle between the different sectors that are tearing each other apart for the choice of their representative to the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP). All this results from misery and chronic poverty, in a word, underdevelopment. It is a general sauve qui peut to the extent that everyone tries to extract a few crumbs to survive.
Besides, on an iceberg, nothing can be built. On a house cracked by political earthquakes, nothing can be built on it without a complete and perfect repair. The best would be to completely crush this house and rebuild it under new plans and with solid materials before living in it.
The nine members of the Presidential Council set up by the United States to administer the country know nothing of what they are doing. They only receive orders from their superiors. They are individuals who have no political capacity, their only concern is to obtain money even in the most degrading conditions.
The country belongs to the Haitians, not to the American, Canadian and French governments. It is not up to them to tell us what is good for our country, it is up to us to know what is best for us and our country.
We could have a thousand elections and it would not change anything. Every time we continue to operate on the same bases of corruption, without a new mentality that can build us new patriotic, fair and honest citizens respecting the mother laws of our country.
Let us first change our mentality, let us therefore get rid of our so-called friendly countries or let them stop their hypocrisies! Let us ourselves be the catalyst of our change. Thus we can become the governor of our destiny as a free and sovereign people. And only then will all elections have their value and their reason for being.
