The Office of Management and Human Resources (OMRH) celebrated World Civil Service Day on Tuesday, June 25, highlighting the importance of investment in continuing education, skills development and improving working conditions for civil servants.

The event, held in Pétion-Ville under the theme “A strengthened public service with a view to local administration and inclusive access to quality public services”, saw Me Jean Rouly Aly, general coordinator of the OMRH, insist on the need to bring civil servants closer to users in order to respond effectively and transparently to the needs of the population.

In his speech, Me Jean Rouly Aly declared: “You are true heroes of our society, often working in the shadows.” He encouraged civil servants to redouble their efforts to satisfy a population in increasing demand for public services. The former Minister of Justice expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Garry Conille for his unwavering support and his clear vision for strengthening the civil service.

Marie Chantal Dumay, representing the head of government, praised the courage of the civil servants, underlining the Prime Minister’s desire to guarantee quality services and restore the population’s confidence in public administration.
