The musical event of the weekend was in New York: Youth Night. Many artists and groups were on the bill. From the Zafem phenomenon to Diva Rutshelle Guillaume, including the very popular duo Bedjine-K-dilak, there was something for everyone. However, against all odds, a young singer was going to impress everyone. Her name is Fatima.
Somewhat underestimated in the Haitian musical world despite her immense talent, she dominated the evening by offering a breathtaking performance. She used her voice, her major asset and her charisma to seduce the spectators and Internet users.
The interpretation of her latest title “Souvni”, released recently, is a delight. With this vocal prowess, Fatima has nothing to envy anyone.
Excerpts from her show, particularly marked by covers of Selena (Como la Flor) and Coupé Cloué (Jij Jime’ m byen) performed with mastery, flood social networks. Surrounded by her two dancers, the young singer charmed with well-executed choreographies.
There are many people who believe that at the end of this great festival, Fatima acquired another status in the Haitian music industry. His career should normally take a new turn.
It remains for it to take advantage of the positive spin-offs it is currently enjoying to definitively establish itself in the place it deserves in a sector that is often hostile to “Real Talents”.
Congratulations to Fatima who made an impression with her dazzling show at the Nuit des Jeunes; a show that will surely be a landmark.
