In order to encourage Students to get involved in the fight against corruption, the Executive Training and Development Academy (AFPEC) through its Chair of Governance, in partnership with the United Nations Program for Development (UNDP), is organizing a bachelor’s thesis competition on the theme of the fight against corruption. No fewer than 330 registrations were recorded to encourage students and professionals from various disciplines to address this crucial issue and propose innovative solutions.

THE HAITI FACTOR, April 12, 2024._ This competition is open to students in fields such as: Administration, Anthropology, Communication, Accounting, Diplomacy, Law, Economy, Education, Finance, Management, Philosophy, Politics, Psychology, Sociology, Technology, Theology, among others.

According to the organizers, the Initiative provides a unique opportunity for volunteers to showcase their academic skills while contributing to the fight against corruption.

To participate, students must submit a dissertation on a subject related to the fight against corruption and obtain a certificate or license certificate before the end of March 2024, informed the organizing institutions.

Thanks to the AFPEC Governance Chair, participants have access to various facilities to help them in their research work.

Among its various facilities, a Documentary Fund including national and foreign legislation, conventions, books, specialized journals, reports, studies, multimedia documents, and much more is at their disposal. This precious resource, according to the organizers, will provide students with the tools necessary to deepen their understanding of the subject and support their arguments.

In addition, the participants, they continued, had the opportunity to participate free of charge in conferences and seminars dedicated to the fight against corruption, organized by the Chair. These events allowed students to familiarize themselves with the latest advances in this field, exchange ideas with experts and connect with key actors in civil society and public institutions.

The Chair also offers methodological advice, although each student has their own dissertation supervisor provided by their faculty. These additional tips are intended to help participants structure their research and develop a solid methodology for writing their dissertation.

As students preparing their dissertations on various aspects of the fight against corruption, participants have the opportunity to share their ideas, support each other and
benefit from the company of other students sharing the same interests. This dynamic of
group will foster an environment conducive to learning and collaboration.

In terms of material support, the CG-AFPEC will grant a grant to the first sixty (60) students allowing them to print up to five copies of their dissertation. This initiative aims to encourage the dissemination of knowledge and allow participants to share their work with a wide audience.

AFPEC and UNDP inform that given the turmoil present in Haiti, the deadline for submitting participants’ memory projects has been postponed to April 27, 2024. Despite these difficult circumstances, participants continue to go to the Documentary Fund and Others work from home. They are more motivated than ever to complete their end-of-study project.
