On July 7, 2021, while President Jovenel Moise was still lying on the ground, his Minister of Foreign Affairs thought of writing to Edmond Bocchit to ask him to transfer $100,000 to take care of Martine Moise “seriously” injured by gunfire.

BCI-N 291-21,

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) presents its compliments to the Consulate General of Haiti in Miami and has the honor to inform it that the Embassy of Haiti in the United States of America has been responsible for making a transfer of 100,000 US dollars in his bank account.

These funds will serve as budgetary support for air transport and the care of the First Lady of the Republic, Madame Martine Moïse, seriously injured during the assassination of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Jovenel Moïse, perpetrated in his private residence on the night of July 6 to 7, 2021.

It should be noted that the Consulate General will be responsible for transmitting to the central administration all supporting documents for said transfer.
