Haitian international Ricardo Adé is elected best central defender in the Ecuadorian first division championship for the 2023 season.
Haitian international Ricardo Adé was elected on Tuesday January 30, 2024 as the best central defender in the Ecuadorian first division championship for the 2023 season. The Grenadier is rewarded for his superb season with his club LDU Quito which won the Copa Sudamericana equivalent to the Europa League. Last season, he was crowned best defender and best player of the year 2022 when he played for SD Aucas.
Indeed, Ricardo Adé had a very good season with LDU Quito. His numbers allowed him to be voted best central defender in this championship. Under the colors of the Ecuadorian club, for the 2023 season he won 104 defensive duels including 73 in the aerial game for 25 matches played.
His good performances greatly contributed to the coronation of LDU Quito which won the Copa Sudamericana on Saturday October 28, 2023 against Fortaleza, a Brazilian club, in the penalty shootout. This competition is considered the South American C3 (equivalent to the Europa League in Europe).
Remember that last year, the international received two individual trophies for his good performances with his former club SD Aucas. He was crowned best defender and best player of the year 2022.
The Ecuadorian club, the Quito University Sports League (LDU), had formalized on November 28, 2022, the arrival of grenadier Ricardo Adé in its ranks.
Ricardo Adé is from the town of Saint-Marc. Aged 32, the central defender wore the colors of Baltimore de Saint-Marc and Don Bosco de PV. He defended the colors of the Haitian national team approximately 26 times, scoring two goals.
