Of the 812 cases supported by the CAN in February 2024 (+41.21% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/article-41660-icihaiti-sante-bilan-du-centre-ambulancier-national- january-2024.html ), transfers (23%) and obstetric emergencies (20%) were the two most important items.
Number and types of interventions:
1 confirmed case of cholera;
66 cases of respiratory distress (not associated with Covid-19);
156 cases of chronic diseases (various pathologies);
164 obstetric emergencies;
46 Public Road Accidents;
184 transfers (references and laboratory examinations);
80 traumas (injuries & fractures of varying degrees);
26 gunshot wounds;
22 stab wounds;
8 cases of burns
59 various conditions (malaise, diarrhea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc.).
Of the 812 cases supported by the CAN: 553 interventions took place in Artibonite, and among others 70 in the South-East, 26 in the South, 22 in Nippe, 20 in the North-East, 19 in the North-West, 18 in the North, 12 in Grand’Anse.
