The Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) sent a correspondence to the Acting Prime Minister, Michel Patrick Boisvert, on Monday May 13, 2024, asking him to review all appointments made from April 25, 2024 until today.
Among these appointments is that of Alix Richard, member of the Fusion of Haitian Social Democrats, who was appointed Minister Counselor at the Permanent Mission of Haiti to the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington, since the week last.
However, the reasons behind this request from the Presidential Transitional Council have not been clarified in the media or on social networks. This situation highlights the difficulties faced by the CPT for more than two weeks after its installation, due to internal struggles for control of this structure composed of nine members, formed outside constitutional limits by the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
