Chosen as Prime Minister of the transition, Garry Conille is back in Haiti. He was welcomed this Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Toussaint Louverture International Airport by the Acting Director General of the Haitian National Police, Frantz Elbé.
THE HAITI FACTOR, June 1, 2024._Five (5) days after his designation by the Presidential Transitional Council as Prime Minister of Haiti, Dr. Garry Conille returned to the country on Saturday June 1, 2024.
The plane transporting him landed on the tarmac of Toussaint Louverture International Airport around 2 a.m., according to several sources close to the Presidential Transitional Council.
Back home, the future tenant of the Prime Minister’s Office was welcomed by the Haitian police authorities, in particular the Acting Director General, Frantz Elbé.
From Toussaint Louverture International Airport, Garry Conille went to the Welcome Villa for the first contact with the members of the Presidential Transitional Council.
He should begin negotiations as soon as possible to form a new Government.
