On her X account, she wrote: “We are here to reaffirm our unwavering support for Haiti’s democratic transition and the security of all Haitians.”
During her visit to the country, she has already met with the authorities of the Haitian transition, including members of the Presidential Council at the Villa d’Accueil, Juno7 learned. She will take the opportunity to visit the MMSS troupe, and will give a press briefing this afternoon at the diplomatic lounge of Toussaint Louverture International Airport.
Linda Thomas-Greenfield will spend a day in Haiti and will take advantage of a press briefing with journalists to disclose information about her schedule of meetings in Haiti.
It should be noted that Ambassador Linda Thomas was in Haiti in July 2021 to attend the funeral of the late President Jovenel Moïse in the northern metropolis.
