Notice of creation of a Creole language institute

The NA Rive Center, a community organization serving the Haitian community of Montreal, but not primarily, has the immense pleasure of informing the members of this community as well as the Haitians of the diaspora in America and elsewhere, that the
Friday May 10, 2024, was created:
The Creole and Haitian Cultural Heritage Institute (ICPCHA)
Haitian Creole and Cultural Heritage Institute (ENKPKA)

This Institute, a new instrument in the fight for the promotion of Haitian Creole, is the result of forty years of teaching, research and publication activities, carried out
through the Creole Committee of the NA Rive Center.

The Foundation Meeting held on the date indicated above, under the Law on
companies of Quebec, allowed the election to the presidency of the Board of Directors, of a
very active member of the Creole Committee. This is the linguist Joseph Sauveur Joseph who, since the
1980s, works tirelessly so that the Creole language acquires so much in Haiti, the country of its
creation, that throughout the world, all its letters of nobility.

Joseph Sauveur Joseph is recognized by his peers as well as his collaborators and his students as one of the Haitian linguists who best masters the aspects.
