After her good performance with Olympique Lyonnais against Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in the semi-finals of the Champions League, Haitian international Melchie Daelle Dumornay, author of a goal and an assist, was congratulated by the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), calling the midfielder a “star of Haiti on European fields”.

“The Haitian Football Federation celebrates with pride Melchie Daelle Dumornay […] She continues to impress the world of football with her talent and determination,” rejoiced the FHF on Thursday on its Facebook page.

“His contribution is crucial in his club’s quest for titles in France and Europe,” admits the FHF before congratulating the genius for his success.

Furthermore, the governing body of Haitian football says it is following Grenadière’s journey on the European scene, particularly in the Champions League where she accumulated 2 assists and a goal in three matches played. She stands alone in the legend of Haitian football with a goal in C1 and more than one assist in the most popular European competition at club level.

The Haitian superstar, already impressive during the two seasons spent in Reims, joined the Lyon team this season where she is having a breathtaking season (5 goals and 4 assists). Brilliant in the championship, Melchie Dumornay took the Big Ears Cup by storm with an extraordinary performance last Saturday, which earned her the distinctions of player of the match and player of the week.

The 20-year-old Haitian’s goal was also voted the best of the week by UEFA.

Melchie Dumornay will visit the Parc de Princes on Sunday April 28 to try to seal the qualification of Fenottes for the grand final of the Champions League which will take place at San Mamés in Spain. Her possible opponent if she qualifies for the final will be either Barcelona or Chelsea who face each other in the other semi-final.
