Everything is in place at the Welcome Villa this Tuesday, April 30 for the holding of the elections for the president of the Presidential Transitional Council, confirm our collaborators on site.
The nine members of the CPT are already there for the vote which should oppose four candidates: Louis Gérald Gilles, Leslie Voltaire, Edgard Leblanc Fils and Fritz Alphonse Jean.
After having taken the oath and being installed respectively at the National Palace and at the Welcome Villa on Thursday April 25, 2024, the nine members of the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) met on Saturday April 27, 2024 to discuss in particular the process leading to the election of the president of the CPT.
At the end of their discussions, the nine Presidential Councilors decided to set up an electoral office composed of three members, including two non-voting members of the CPT and a third member drawn at random from the voting sectors having no candidate.
According to the document adopted by the Presidential Advisors, the presidency of the electoral office will be ensured by one of the non-voting members of the CPT, chosen by consensus.
