Four suspected bandits belonging to criminal groups were shot dead during exchanges of fire with the police during an operation in the locality of Meyotte, commune of Pétion-Ville, on the afternoon of Monday April 1, 2024 .
During this police intervention, several firearms as well as ammunition were seized. Available information indicates that members of the area vigilance brigade collaborated with law enforcement to carry out this important operation.
It should be noted that detonations of automatic weapons were heard in the vicinity of Champ-de-Mars, at Carrefour de l’Aéroport and in other surrounding areas on Monday.
