From resistance to revolution

Aith the chaotic situation that the country has been experiencing in recent times, the struggle of the Haitian people for a better tomorrow has marked a turning point through popular mobilization which arouses great hope, while panicking the gravediggers of the Nation. However, there is something indecent and grotesque that happened, when the government resorted to brutal, criminal repression on the population and many citizens were attacked, murdered by police officers serving the status quo.

The repression which fell on the demonstrators during the day of protest on February 7 obviously reflects the reactionary, die-hard character of this outlaw regime, imposed by the United States. The regime protects itself from any risk of popular revolt, which is why this day, during which some alluded to the revolution, did not bring the fruit of an expected victory in favor of the humiliated and disinherited. But it must be recognized that a seed is planted in several cities of the country and it will not take long to germinate and flower, given the level of revolutionary consciousness of the worker and peasant masses and especially of a large number of young people.

The significant influence on the dynamics of the moment is the expression of two antagonistic positions, of two social classes which clash. One who wants to respond to the needs and defense of the people by fighting for the life and transformation of a system and the other who willingly defends the causes of a bourgeois, irresponsible, careless power whose ultimate mission is to destroy the lives of the people.

a seed is planted in several cities and it will not take long to germinate and flower, given the level of revolutionary consciousness of the masses

This mobilization triggered a powerful echo among the working and peasant masses. It brings hope. It is a new experience, a formidable exercise with which the people immediately identified without any sign of restraint. It demonstrates the will of a rebellious people who decide to move from resistance to revolutionary combat for change and the construction of a dignified life.

Such a level of consciousness deserves not only a certain appreciation but also organized support so that the popular masses in struggle further develop their creative genius and their political commitments.

Unfortunately, certain political currents remained spectators, as if these bands of hungry, monopolizing politicians were not concerned. They have not provided their encouragement, their support or their contribution to this attempt at popular revolt which must be relaunched at all costs, prepared, supervised for the fundamental overthrow of the old order and especially its systematic replacement.

The fight against repressive state violence cannot be limited to institutional reforms. The appropriate popular response to the rantings of the guardian powers is not a transition that will replace this transition but rather a revolution, strong, collective action under the direction of the working masses.

The working people are the basis of all democratic power and it is in this context that we must understand the domination of the bourgeoisie – that is to say the survival of the capitalist system – which is achieved at the price of destruction. human beings victims of precariousness, unemployment, unsanitary housing, destruction of local public services, famine and natural damage, overexploitation, insecurity, poverty and forced displacement which are all consequences of capitalist barbarism.

Should we give free rein to this criminal and useless government or should we continue to fight it, that is the question? The solutions to our problems will not come from this rotten and illegal government. Let’s organize ourselves! It is a war against the imperialist that must be waged!

No, the solutions will not come from the traditional political class which is already preparing to regain control with its transition so as to start chatting and dining again with imperialism and its apostles, in particular, Ariel Henry, André Michel and Edmonde Supplice Beauzile of the Fusion for the resumption of the dialogue of the deaf, compromise negotiations or sharing of the cake thus respecting the demands of the capitalists.

Workers have no interest in remaining passive without fighting their main enemy, their own imperialism. The real government of the country is Western imperialism represented yesterday, today by its lackeys, its henchmen. It is against imperialism and its policy of destruction that we must unite, agree to uproot it and nothing else, so that tomorrow the direction of power will be with the people.

The social revolution must replace the bourgeois state, the instrument of domination of the capitalist class. We need a new state, an instrument of domination of the working class. The crumbs thrown by the rich to mercenaries, police officers, politicians of all kinds cannot under any circumstances divert or force our struggle to turn back.

The crisis that the country is going through demands that in the face of the gospel of transition that imperialism preaches through its agents of power and a certain opposition, the people must raise loud and clear the flag of the fight for the revolution and for socialism . This is the only way of resistance to save the country from the disaster and plunder of world imperialism.

May the current events constitute a tipping point and no return, ultimately leading to the emancipation of the oppressed class and the total collapse of the capitalist system which prevents them from exercising their inalienable right to live peacefully in their homeland.

May the fight of the Haitian people continue, from resistance to revolution!
