During this swearing-in ceremony for Me Jean Joseph Lebrun, the de facto PM nevertheless declared “this appointment is intended to be respectful of the spirit of the Constitution, in the sense that the choice fell on a judge professional who holds a mandate at the Court which is not subject to any dispute and on a Magistrate who has proven himself in the judicial system and who enjoys a great reputation for competence, integrity and honesty.
“We need justice which can change images and which plays its true role. Because it remains an important actor in the production of security, and a leading actor in the fight against impunity which is destroying the country.
