Mr. Edler Guillaume is no longer a government commissioner at the Court of First Instance of Port-au-Prince. He is replaced by Mr. Lionel Constant Bourgoin, who is returning to the helm of the country’s largest court, confirms the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Mr. Carlos Hercule.
THE HAITI FACTOR, June 28, 2024.- Me Lionel Constant Bourgoin returns to the head of the Prosecutor’s Office of Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, as the new Government Commissioner.
He was appointed by the Minister of Justice, Me Carlos Hercule to succeed Me Edler Guillaume who held the position since May 26, 2023, replacing Me Jacques Lafontant, dismissed by the Minister of Justice and Public Security of the time, Me Emmelie Prophète.
« Mr. Lionel Constant Bourgoin is appointed Government Commissioner at the Court of First Instance of Port-au-Prince, replacing Mr. Edler Guillaume, promoted to Deputy Commissioner at the Court of Appeal of Port-au-Prince. ” wrote Me Carlos Hercule on his X account.
Former Director General of the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC), Me Lionel Constant Bourgoin, will experience his second stint at the Port-au-Prince Prosecutor’s Office after his appointment in 2011.
Replaced at the head of the Port-au-Prince Public Prosecutor’s Office, Me Edler Guillaume, for his part, is promoted to Deputy Commissioner at the Court of Appeal.
