The members of the Presidential Transitional Council were sworn in on the sly early this Thursday, April 25, at the National Palace, in Port-au-Prince (Champ-de-Mars). The event took place under gunfire from armed gangs who launched a new assault on the Presidential Palace.

At the time of the secret swearing-in of the Presidential Advisors (between 8:30 a.m. and 8:50 a.m.), bandits from the “viv ansanm” coalition launched a new assault on the Presidential Palace inside which there are the 9 members.
In fact, gunshots were heard on the Champs-de-Mars, particularly around the National Palace and in other places in the Capital.
After the swearing-in of the Members, a source close to the resigning Government confirms for the newspaper that a simple reception will be organized at the Villa d’Acceuil, located in Musseau, in Delmas 60 to welcome the guests.
