Members of the population of the Solino and Nazon neighborhoods demonstrate in the streets this Monday, June 10, 2024 to denounce the assassination yesterday Sunday, in Delmas 18, of three (3) police officers from the Temporary Anti-Gang Unit. Protesters set up barricades and burning tires on public roads to also demand the dismissal of Acting Director General of the PNH Frantz Elbé.

THE HAITI FACTOR, June 10, 2024._A wind of panic reigned at midday on Monday morning, June 10, 2024, in Nazon, more precisely at Carrefour Samida.

It results from a protest movement by members of the population of Solino and Nazon against the assassination yesterday Sunday of 3 UTAG police officers in Delmas 18.

The protesters are also demanding the dismissal of Acting Director General of the PNH Frantz Elbé for his inability to lead the institution and recover the bodies of police officers killed in gang strongholds.

To show their frustration, they placed barricades and burning tires on the roads of Nazon and at Carrefour Samida, thus obstructing automobile traffic.

At the same time, detonations from automatic weapons were heard at Delmas 24, a name far from Solino.
