A global ranking of the best airlines has been established by the independent British organization Skytrax each year since 1999. This ranking is called the «Skytrax World Airline Awards».
For the year 2023, the British organization whose ranking is considered to be the “Oscars of the aviation industry”surveyed more than 20 million passengers over the course of nine months, from September 2022 to May 2023.
The criteria on which passengers’ responses were to be based are: quality of cabin service, quality of the flight (seat comfort, quality of meals, choice of entertainment programs, etc.), experience before and after the flight (ease online reservation, waiting time, baggage delivery, etc.).
For 2023, the ranking was presented at the International Air and Space Show at Le Bourget.
Here, according to Skytrax, are the ten (10) best airlines in 2023:

- Qatar Airways
- ANA All Nippon Airways
- Emirates
- Japan Airlines
- Turkish Airlines
- Air France
- Cathay Pacific
- EVA Air
- Korean Air
