The town of Hinche, in the Center Department, will be, on Tuesday February 6, 2024, the scene of a major day of demonstration to demand the departure of Prime Minister Ariel Henry from power. This general mobilization will take place at the initiative of several political parties including “EDE and Pitit Desalin” and civil society organizations, notably “MOJENLAN, RED and PPPD”, among others.
THE HAITI FACTOR, February 4, 2024._Political and social structures are joining forces to form a common front against the Government led by Prime Minister Ariel Henry. Among these political parties and groups, we can cite Engagés pour le Développement (EDE), Pitit Desalin, MOJELAN, RED, PPD and Citoyens Engagés, among others.
The leaders of these entities meet around a single table on Sunday February 4, 2024, in Hinche to launch a day of mobilization against the team in power.
This mobilization planned for Tuesday February 6, 2024 in the Center Department will have the main objective of pressing Prime Minister Ariel Henry to pack his bags from the Prime Minister’s office, according to declarations from party and organization leaders.
These political leaders also say they are campaigning to thwart the Neurosurgeon’s macabre plan for the country, which is none other than sinking it further into chaos.
Present at the conference table, the Departmental Secretary of the Center of the Political Party Engagés pour le Développement (EDE), Job Berçon, said he was demanding the departure of the head of Government. And this, in compliance with the Political Agreement signed on December 21, 2022 with other parties and socio-political structures in the country.
For his part, the Representative of the political party “Pitit Desalin”, at this conference, Jean Eliscar Martin suggested that in addition to the departure of Ariel Henry, it will also be a day of demonstration against insecurity, kidnapping, high cost of living and unemployment which are destroying the country, particularly the Center Department.
To remove Ariel Henry from power and say “NO” against all the evils he has caused to the country, Job Berçon and Jean Eliscar Martin invite the people of Hinch to meet, starting at 9 a.m., Tuesday, on Place Charlemagne Péralte before taking to the streets to free the country from the team in charge.
