The Association of Haitian Journalists (AJH) said it was saddened by the death of journalist André Marc Odigé.

This Sunday, July 28, 2024, the director of information of the National Radio of Haiti (RNH), André Marc Odigé died following a cardiac arrest, informs journalists from the RNH.

Following this sad news, the Association of Haitian Journalists in a note bearing the signature of its Secretary General, Jacques Desrosiers, said it was saddened by the death of this brilliant journalist, at the age of 65 in Pétion-Ville.

“André Marc Odigé devoted more than twenty years of his career to the service of the National Radio of Haiti (RNH) where he fulfilled various functions. From journalist-reporter to director of information of the state radio. He also collaborated with Radio Télé Pacific. He was president and CEO of the online press agency Haiti Inter Presse (HIP)” recalls the AJH in its note.

While emphasizing that André Marc Odigé is renowned for his integrity, his humility, his dedication to the search for information and his commitment to the truth, the Association of Haitian Journalists presents its sympathies to the family of the deceased, his collaborators at the
National Radio of Haiti and to the entire corporation of journalists.
