Interviews

Let’s meet Joana Swan, a journalist of Haitian origin who doesn’t mince her words when it comes to Haiti!

For about a year, our newspaper has had the pleasure of introducing you to the Franco-Haitian journalist, Joana Swan, owner of the newspaper “Instinct Foot”, who highlights the Haitian players of D1 Arkema, especially in their mother tongue.

Both of Joana Swan’s parents were born in Haiti, but they met in France (Paris). Joana Swan also has American citizenship, having lived there for eight years for her studies. Despite this, she remains very connected to her parents’ country of origin, Haiti. We remember the sad and euphoric moments of the country. Let’s return to football: Haiti’s defeat against Jamaica 4-0, and Haiti’s qualification for the Women’s World Cup against Chile.

As you know, women’s football suffers many injustices, in the words of Joana Swan:

– “I can’t stand abuse of players or in women’s football. »
– “I fight for players to have better living conditions. »
– “Better working conditions and better protection in the event of illness. »

My connection with Haiti, I’m tired of talking bad about Haiti, I prefer to talk about good things. When we talk about Haiti, it’s always negative things like insecurity and earthquakes, but I prefer to highlight the positive aspects. The objective is to highlight the Haitian players who play here in France. I prefer to highlight Haiti in a positive way through sport, especially football. The emancipation of Haiti will happen through sport (football).

I would like that when we think of Haiti, we see good Haitian players who play in D1 Arkema like Melchie Daelle Dumornay, who played in Reims and currently in Lyon, Batcheba Louis in Fleury, Nerilia Mondesir and Kethna Louis in Montpellier, and so on. following. The goal is to stop talking about the negative things about the country.

As for Creole, of course! I speak Creole, I stay connected with Haiti. Our interviews with Haitian players in Creole are intended for Haitians.

Here is an overview of this important woman in the Haitian community in France who lives her passion quietly. By sharing his distinguished feelings about Haiti, dear country of his parents. She is a colleague from Sport Passion Info with whom we have been collaborating for several months. Take a look at his different social media platforms (Joana Swan foot, Instinct Foot).
