At least four people were killed on board a bus in Martissant on May 7, 2024. The bus providing Carrefour/Centre-ville transport was hit by several large-caliber projectiles, lamented Mehu Changeux.
A bus carrying around 80 passengers was the target of gunfire on May 7, 2024 near Martissant. This incident cost the lives of four people on site, reports trade unionist Méhu Changeux. Several other injured passengers were transported to hospital for further treatment.
According to the unionist, the vehicle was targeted by a PNH tank. He said he did not know whether inside the small vehicle there were real police officers or armed civilians. But, it seems, he said, that it was the occupants of this vehicle who fired on the bus.
With this in mind, the unionist calls on the drivers who operate this section to be very careful not to endanger their lives and the lives of passengers. At the same time, he sharply criticizes the police officers who have not shown professionalism. He says he condemns this situation which has lasted too long.
