National Selection_FHF: Summoned by Sébastien Migné, Mikaël Cantave forgotten in the official FHF prelist

Sébastien Migné, the coach of the Haitian national football team, recently unveiled his prelist for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Among the 31 players summoned, Mikaël Gabriel Cantave was included, thus strengthening the ranks of the team for the next challenges. Previously forgotten, it was added at the last minute, which casts some doubts in this prelist.

This announcement also raises questions about the management of human resources by the Haitian Football Federation (FHF). Some observers wonder if the FHF has not put aside, buried or even trampled on certain players who could have contributed to the success of the national team. Selection choices can sometimes be debated, but the main thing is to support the selected players in their quest to represent their country with dignity on the international stage.

On June 6, the Haitian team will face Saint Lucia, followed by a match against Barbados on June 9, at the Wildey Astro Turf Stadium. These meetings will mark the start of the Haitian team’s qualification journey for the 2026 World Cup. A competition which always arouses passionate enthusiasm among supporters of Haitian football.

While awaiting Sébastien Migné’s final list for the trip to Bridgetown, fans can rest assured that each pre-selected player will bring their determination and talent to the field, in hopes of realizing the ultimate dream of representing Haiti at the FIFA World Cup.
