A tense situation reigned this Tuesday, April 16 in the morning until the time of writing this article (11:58 a.m.) at the bottom of Delmas, not far from the Airport Crossroads where heavy gunfire was heard.
According to information available to the Juno7 editorial team, it is agents of the Haitian National Police who are repelling armed gangs who want to go to the Carrefour de l’Aéroport to sow panic.
“This situation creates a climate of fear among us, but we hope that the Police will be able to repel the thugs who continue to carry out criminal actions against the population” declared a resident contacted by telephone by Juno7.
It should be noted that for several weeks, armed individuals who are members of criminal gangs have continued to sow terror in several areas in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince. At the Champ de Mars, agents of the PNHm for days have been motivated to confront the armed gangs who want at all costs to take control of the National Palace.
