The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) suspended the permit to lead and the permit to teach a Principal of the school Nòof the for violence against a student. This act of violence happened on April 22, 2024 at Bethel Béthesda National School, in the department Nòof the.

The MENFP announced, in a communiqué, that it decided to suspend the permit to lead and the permit to teach Anebert Joseph, who is the director of the national school Béthel Béthesda, after the serious violence he inflicted on a child in his school.

The Ministry has announced that it has taken this measure after the report it received from the departmental direction Nòof the which confirms the act of serious violence against a child inside the Bethel Bethesda National School, on April 22, 2024.

“The behavior of this director does not respect any principle in school affairs, nor what is said about the legal regulations on the prohibition of corporal punishment in schools”, is what the ministry underlined in its communique, while it said that there are other administrative measures the institution will take taken, after the report of the general inspection of education that will deepen the investigation.

Elsewhere, the ministry states that it will also take other measures to give this child the psychological framework necessary to avoid any damage to the student’s school environment, and takes the opportunity to ask all school principals to respect the right of all children to learn without violence inside the schools.
