Presidential Advisor Leslie Voltaire and Acting Director General of the PNH Rameau Normil visited the MMSS base in Clercine.
This Friday, July 19, 2024, Presidential Advisor Leslie Voltaire, Acting Director General of the Haitian National Police, Rameau Normil paid a visit to the base of the Multinational Security Support Mission in Clercine, Tabarre.
During this visit, Leslie Voltaire reported having had a meeting with the highest authorities of the Security Support Mission in Haiti. “Together, we reviewed the security situation and shared the concerns of the CPT regarding the challenges related to insecurity in Haiti. I also took this opportunity to visit the base and have breakfast with the Kenyan soldiers.” reads a message published on his account X.
During her speech, Leslie Voltaire reaffirmed the determination of the Presidential Transitional Council and the government in place to work with the mission to facilitate a return to normal in the country which is largely controlled by gangs.
While recalling that a state of security emergency has been declared in 14 municipalities in the departments of the West and Artibonite, Leslie Voltaire invites the population to maintain confidence in this mission.
